By your good old editor, few words about the works of my much cherished authors. So the critiques will be short and sweet!

Well this month we have a new kid in Ezine, Labanya, she writes in Bengali only, I will translate her works for her. She is pretty adamant about “Writing in Bengali only”. I was like that once so I don’t mind translating for her.

Kalipuja by Labanya: Labanya’s first Bengali poem is for Mother Goddess Kali, her puja is coming up real soon and I loved the poem a lot! Check out my clumsy translation that will be added with it.

Berlin 2: Part 7 by Brieuc Martin Onraet: This month’s piece is a grim reminder of world war, its ghastly side.

Games Ghost Play 1 by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: Now this is one thundering start! A ghost walking towards you in a desolate road in night is scary enough but walking towards you in broad daylight, well that is certainly super creepy.

Shad 3 by Troy David Loy: A fascinating story of a runaway warrior, from a clan that destroyed weaklings and absorbed their existences. That is one scary tribe!

Happiness is a minority by Dom Collucci: a poem very close to my heart, people who squabble and judge are rarely the happy lot, and at present they certainly are vast majority! Those who have stayed away from this crowd willingly are the happy lot!

Bitter Pill dose 24 by Bitter Pill: Religion: This month BP shares views about devil worshippers and I will have to agree with the author, this is a disturbing trend and if you believe media it is in the rise in West! Not a very healthy mindset for society!

Clippings by Freya Pickard: This month you will read the critique of Freya’s fantastic newsletter June 2018 by your good old editor!

The Drovers by Pat Ritters: This month Pat tells something more about Harry, it is indeed a fascinating story well told if you believe me, if not then prove me wrong! Read it and tell me it is not!

Dirkball 7 by Robert Sherriff: Cute painting a cat sitting on a branch quite in a regal pose and listening to a squirrel!

Farce in the name of justice 1 : Saptarchi: This is quite a trend in India, nothing new I believe, otherwise corruption would not have turned into a quagmire into this country! Be an honest journalist or cop and you will die or face worse! The message is loud and clear to media and police force since independence! It happens because of corruption of majority!

I believe that will be it for my critique as an editor, you will have to read the rest in Ezine. Of course there is truckloads of more works there!

Welcome to the Poush 1426 review of Agnishatdal! Here are a few of the outstanding features for this issue… First there’s… … Let us Begin… Our Virtual Trip to India This painting shows a young woman leaning, her back to a tree, while a small fishing boat travels past on the river in the background. Bharatendu Harishchandra So, here is one whose linguistic influence was deep and far-reaching. I must look for any published works of his that remain in print, and I suspect that these are more than a few sources I can look on. Rupjibi and Kalambiji Saptarchi criticizes the intellectual failures of modern Indian movies made for money, not the writer’s craft. Masai 1 of 4 Brieuc begins this series on the Masai people

A piece from The Soul Devourers Now available in shoptly as Agnimalya Book 9 https://shoptly.com/sharmishthabasu "The names that our parents gave us were Agni (Fire) and Vari (water), yours was Agni, mine Vari, based on our natures, of course; I don’t think you would mind if I call you Agni." Her sister asked. She shrugged. "Who are these people?" she asked. "These people were once human beings. Their greed was too strong, so strong it tempted them into selling their soul to the devil. There is a temple in Gajmahal, where they worship the devil, and have been for centuries. These soul devourers –– yes, that’s what they are called because that’s what they become capable of devouring souls–– souls of their victims are their life-force. That keeps them alive, as some of them are centuries old. Their head priest was one of the first priests of the temple, and has done it for centuries now." "These p
