Agnijaat Ashwin begins with Mahalaya greeting, a pretty and simple one. Wish you all a very blessed Mahalaya!

There is a malmas or a month in which there won’t be any auspicious activity after Mahalaya, so Durgapuja will happen in end October. I don’t recollect it happening ever before.

Indie Author Speaks: Covid19 has taught too many bitter lessons to the world. But it had taught us about goodness in people too, there are so many out there helping others, not caring about their own safety.

FTQFS: Another piece of gem from the quill of a single woman. Society certainly does not like chaste women who stay single. They suffer the wrath of the society in its full ugly fury.

Techbabble: Don’t have a facebook account or blog or twitter handle. Not really very savvy with social media sites. I still prefer face to face talk or phone-calls.

Corona diaries and Kolkata blues: People have so many prejudices against some poor animals and birds, bat are pretty high-ranking in human hatred list. Now they are being blamed for Corona too, what is new! There are jerks who love to spread rumour without caring about the disastrous consequences. They always succeed in harming others. Kolkata blue was true again.

SOS: Absolutely agreed, sometimes I too think that God saves us by not giving us a few things we desperately begged for.

Intriguing Tales: This was a sad story, how a noble man suffered hell just because he rushed a judgment against a very vindictive and powerful sage.

History of India: Another interesting piece of Indian history, the maritime side of Indian army and other things in the era of kings and nawabs.

My Pen: wake up India 1: This one conveys some very serious thoughts about current scenario of India, the unholy matrimony of press and rulers of India are poisoning the country very rapidly.

Fun and Frolic section:

His life worth living by Pat Ritter: This one sounds like a great, fascinating story.

SBPnB Book 9 flowers: Sounds like a beautiful book with lots of illustrations. Maybe, I will ask for these books in return of critique.

Pikatron March 2019 critique by Editor: Will have to get the newsletter from Agni.

Top ten writers: Well, have read works of most of the authors in her list, excluding Louis L’Amour and Isaac Assimov. Being a book worm have enjoyed their works too.

Indian Raga Now:

Kabban Mirza- He is a great singer, wonder why he did not sing more!

SPOTLIGHT ON- Anne Murray- Will have to check out her songs and see.

Window to West – wake the witch: Will see if I can get it in YouTube. Sounds like a spooky movie.

Bhadra Shot: Four gorgeous shots, maybe Agni should add a few more from the next issue onwards.

Youtube channel: Already checked them all out.

Storytime: Sednians from Patreon: Bewitched from SBPnB sounds like Karma!

Mahalaya: There are so many memories revolving around this festival.

Theme: Sirens- Seven beautiful paintings.

The cartoon Mr Stick: These days have proved that some people never change! They just can’t help being utterly corrupted.

In the end quite enjoyed the Ezine, and its colourful sketches/paintings especially they are refreshing and pretty!

That is it I guess! See you again next month, and thank you Agni/Sharmishtha for translating my works!

Yours sincerely,

Labanya

Both feet grounded: I am not much aware of the political condition of USA, heck I don’t know much about Indian politics, but it seems misguiding people is the latest trick of politicians. Returning to enlightenment value? : This one is a scary piece, a story how people are being turned against each other AGAIN and AGAIN by politicians. The challenge now and ahead: no wonder #45 and Feku are buddies, their way are eerily similar. Should we punch Nazis?: The Nazis should be punched but not physically by exposing their intentions and the effect of their actions on society! When weaponized church conquers Government: It become

Ashar issue begins with another shot from Golconda fort, the tribute this month has been paid to Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel and I discovered a lot of brand new things about him from this article. Iridescent vignette by Scott Hastie: What a beauty! Ye reap… by saptarchi : Saptarchi is right again. We never learn from past! Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet 15: Very interesting piece. It’s hard to explain this piece because it is continuation, it is fun to read, that much is for sure! The dawn of data abstraction by Vasu Srinivasan translated by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: Very well written and translated piece, I wonder what will happen in the story next month. It finished at a very interesting spot. Magna- End of
