Critique by Sharmishtha Basu

Agnishatdal Boisakh 1427, April 2020

By your good old editor! Few words about the works of my much cherished authors. So the critiques will be honest, short and sweet!

hisab by Labanya: What a poem! Don’t we all throw away diamonds and gather pebbles once in a while and then regret!

Farce in the name of justice by saptarchi: These news items only see the real India of lately, hypocrisy blown away. This country has no place for righteous, honest and innocents! They will be destroyed sooner or later! The evil, corrupt and unscrupulous will flourish! For how long I wonder!

Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet: A terrific story has began, this is the first story I read in Brian’s blog and absolutely loved it! Can’t wait to share it with you all! I do hope and pray this book when Brian publishes it will hit bestseller!

Vikrama aur betala by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: I have not read this story, that part is for sure! The sculptor was smart for sure, smart people never stay around powerful people who can make or break them.

Gardens of Sarusammog 2 by Troy David Loy: Saru meets Korravi! I just love Saru’s stories. He is so much fun!

The dark made its mark by Dom Collucci: beautiful poem. So very wise and deep.

Bitter Pill dose 29 by Bitter Pill: politics 5: Indian media is mistress of Indian politicians, they have a very symbiotic relationship that is bad for the rest of the country.

Prophets of God by Brendan: Great piece Brendan. Your works truly are unique and very authentic. I too belong to that category who prefer sages, saints and prophets alive not crucified!

The shearer by Pat Ritters: Fantastic piece, Jack is out of the jail and is reprimanded by the bartender on his way to his lodgings. Pat is a great writer and I for one am thoroughly enjoying this journey into the lives of Australian cowboys.

I believe that will be it for my critique as an editor, you will have to read the rest in Ezine. Of course there is truckloads of more works there!

Both feet grounded: I am not much aware of the political condition of USA, heck I don’t know much about Indian politics, but it seems misguiding people is the latest trick of politicians. Returning to enlightenment value? : This one is a scary piece, a story how people are being turned against each other AGAIN and AGAIN by politicians. The challenge now and ahead: no wonder #45 and Feku are buddies, their way are eerily similar. Should we punch Nazis?: The Nazis should be punched but not physically by exposing their intentions and the effect of their actions on society! When weaponized church conquers Government: It become

Ashar issue begins with another shot from Golconda fort, the tribute this month has been paid to Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel and I discovered a lot of brand new things about him from this article. Iridescent vignette by Scott Hastie: What a beauty! Ye reap… by saptarchi : Saptarchi is right again. We never learn from past! Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet 15: Very interesting piece. It’s hard to explain this piece because it is continuation, it is fun to read, that much is for sure! The dawn of data abstraction by Vasu Srinivasan translated by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: Very well written and translated piece, I wonder what will happen in the story next month. It finished at a very interesting spot. Magna- End of
